Game Development Projects

Clown Rail Super

  • Finished

Starfox inspired rail shooter built in Godot 4. After playing through Armored Core 6 I was inspired to create a game and story with the emotional weight of the AC franchise while simultaneously keeping gameplay, characters, and the world itself lighthearted/not let it take itself too seriously.

SlapSquatch

  • Finished

I used this game as an opportunity to learn Unity's XR Interaction Toolkit, I was largely only familiar with SteamVR before it. Play as Bigfoot in VR. Remain a legend by slapping any tourists trying to take pictures of you.

Herring Hideaway

  • Finished

Team submission for the Albuquerque Game Developer Guild 48hr NM GameJam 2023. Served as programmer using the Godot 4 engine (art by @agggron, music by Mike Gruetzner).

Krug!

  • Finished

Single level game used as a 2D platformer level design study using a collection or royalty free assets. Replication of the first level of Super Mario Bros 3. Built in Godot engine.

Echoes of the Damned

  • Retired proof-of-concept

Asymmetric action horror fighting game developed in Unity. The point of this project was to mash together two of my favorite genres. Results of the fight sequence determine who has power in an asymmetric chase scene where resources in that chase are determined by how you exhaust your special meter. All 3D assets were self-made in Blender, where images and textures were either self-made or from royalty free image sites.

Rhythm Jam Rush

  • Retired proof-of-concept

Some of my favorite games growing up were rhythm games. I lost countless hours in arcades playing Dance Dance Revolution with friends, and this small proof of concept was a love letter to that time in my life. Uses a Guitar Hero insipred layout, where colors correspond to rows on your keyboard (plus the numpad). Built in Godot engine.
